In 1977 the National Jazz, Blues & Rock Festival changed it's name to Reading Rock. The festival became a complete pool of mud on the day prior to it's start. It was headlined by Alex Harvey , Thin Lizzy and Uriah Heep. It also included Ultravox! (featuring John Foxx) from the new generation of British synth pop bands, and the punk act Electric Chairs.
