1975 was probably the year of the confirmation of the National Jazz, Blues & Rock Festival, now commonly known as Reading, as a massive event. It was attended by 2,5000 people that watched the headline shows of Yes, Wishbone Ash, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Supertramp, Hawkwind, and Lou Reed under the rain .
This was also the year of the confirmation of the presence of the heavy rock scene in the UK, with bands like UFO, Wishbone Ash, Judas Priest and Thin Lizzy.
