"I do remember the day Hendrix died. We were rehearsing at The Marquee, getting ready to play another Marquee gig. We always used to do sound checks, or at least as much as we could. So, we were there in the afternoon, and someone said: 'Hendrix died this morning!' Well, of course we were all in shock, and deeply saddened."
