Memories on this night:

"When I went to London for a couple of weeks after finishing school in 1971, there was nothing to keep me away from the Marquee. I was there with my buddy Wolfgang Gebauer. After checking the programme, we decided to see the Pete York Percussion Band. I knew Pete York from the Spencer Davis Group and from the duo Hardin & York. I saw Hardin & York in Germany, they were amazing, very popular on the german festival-events. After entering the club, we were amazed to see that The Marquee was not so large as we expected. But it was a nice atmosphere and fun to be at such a prestigious site. I don't remember the members of the band but I think Miller Anderson and Colin Hodgkinson were already among them. Of course there was a long Pete York drum solo but all in all not so much percussion as I expected. It was a solid bluesrock concert, the fans loved it and we too. I don't remember songtitles but I think they also played one or two Spencer Davis numbers."
